How do I get my LA Care ID card?
Getting Your ID Card Once you make your first premium payment, L.A. Care Health Plan will mail your Member ID Card to you in a blue envelope which will display the L.A. Care logo. Please do not throw away this packet. Your Member ID Card is located inside the envelope at the bottom right corner on the document.
How do health care providers use my Member ID card?
Health care providers use the information from your member ID card to confirm they are part of your plan’s network and to bill your health plan for your care. Some plans have mobile apps that let you share the member ID card on your smartphone or tablet.
What happens if I don't get my LCA care ID card?
The ID card is mailed separately from your Welcome Packet. I f you do not get your L.A. Care ID card within a few weeks of enrolling, or if your card is damaged, lost or stolen, you may order a new one through L.A. Care Connect, your online member account, or by calling Member Services. L.A. Care will send you a new card.
