Which life process is common to all living things?

The basic life processes common to all living organisms are - nutrition and respiration; transport and excretion; control and coordination (response to stimuli); growth; movement and reproduction.

The seven life processes are recapped that apply to all living things – movement, reproduction, sensitivity, nutrition, excretion, respiration, growth – this is sometimes abbreviated to MRS NERG. Which is not a life process? All living organisms have the feature or character of reproduction. All the processes which are necessary to maintain life in an organism are called life processes. Reproduction is not considered a life process because it is not necessary to maintain life.
