When to take Christmas card photos


Ideally, you want to go ahead and get photos done in September or October to ensure that you have plenty of time to get your photos back, pick the one you like and be able to create your holiday card. Let's be honest, there are so many options to choose from it can become overwhelming.

How do you take good pictures for Christmas cards?

Use a tripod and the self timer on your camera or have a neighbor come over and snap a few. And if you can't take them outside, find a window inside your home without direct light (or open your front door and stand in the opening). Then take the photo using the natural light from the window.

How do you take a holiday card picture?

"Ideally, holiday cards would be mailed out the first week of December," says Hunt. "But receiving cards all the way up to Christmas Eve is still acceptable and fun!"
