When can i complain to the legal ombudsman


If you have complained to your service provider and you are not happy with their final response then you can bring your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. We can only look at complaints from regulated legal service providers, and there are rules that set out what we investigate and how we do it.

What can you complain to the ombudsman about?

An ombudsman is a person who has been appointed to look into complaints about companies and organisations. Ombudsmen are independent, free and impartial – so they don't take sides. You should try and resolve your complaint with the organisation before you complain to an ombudsman.
