The original taxonomy featured six major categories of thinking. There were: Knowledge Comprehension Application Analysis Synthesis Evaluation As a taxonomy, Bloom’s framework has to be followed in order; learners must start at the first stage – Knowledge – and master that level before moving on to the next.
