Who decides the methods of indemnity


Usually, it is the option of the insurers to decide on any one of the above four methods.

What are the methods of indemnity?

A contract where one party tries to help and compensate the other party of the loss is indemnity. The person giving the indemnity is the indemnifier. Whereas the person receiving the indemnity to pay the loss is the indemnity-holder or indemnified.

Who gives the indemnity?

The person who promises to indemnify for a loss is the Indemnifier. On the other hand, the person whose losses the indemnifier promises to make good is the Indemnified. We can also refer to the Indemnified party as the Indemnity Holder.
