When does a quote become a contract

A quote is a statement of the price at which a business will supply goods or services. When you accept a quote, you have formed a contract. Always get at least three written quotes before you buy expensive goods or services.

How long should a quote be valid for?

While there is not a set standard for how long quotes last, standard practice across the industry can give you an idea. Most quotes are only good for one month.

Is a signed quote a contract UK?

A quote is an offer in legal terms. There is no contract and therefore no legal rights or obligations unless and until it is accepted.

Is a quote a binding price?

A quote is an offer to do a job for a specified price. Once you accept a quote, the provider can't charge you more than that unless you agree to extra work, or the scope of the job changes while it is underway. Legally, this is known as a variation to your contract.
