Why is Coinbase showing different prices?
Coinbase includes a spread in the price when you buy or sell cryptocurrencies or in the exchange rate when you convert cryptocurrencies. This allows us to temporarily lock in a price for trade execution while you review the transaction details prior to submitting your transaction.
Is it better to buy crypto on Robinhood or Coinbase?
To help protect your market orders against dramatic price moves, we adjust market orders to limit orders collared up to 1% for buys, and 5% for sells. Robinhood doesn't charge commission fees. Any price difference you may see between the estimated buy/sell price and the execution price is due to market movement.
Why is Robinhood showing different prices?
However, Coinbase fees can take a chunk out of your investment, whereas Robinhood doesn't charge a commission, so users may pay less per trade. People who don't want to withdraw crypto and prefer a single platform to trade crypto, ETF, stock, and options use Robinhood because you can only trade crypto on Coinbase.
