When governance works it is outstanding and can transform the culture of school; not just holding school leaders to account, but involving the entire body of staff, parents and where possible, the students.

At the time, the governors were fully involved and delighted to be part of the Teaching Awards process; taking part in the programme, observations and meetings with students and any visitors.
