Removing hail dents with heat gun

To do the job you'll need a hair dryer, or heat gun and a can of compressed air (like that used to blow dust out computers). Use the dryer or gun to heat up the dent and an area a couple of inches around the perimeter of the dent area of the dent. Keep the heat source moving to avoid damaging the paint.

How do you pop out hail dents?

Using a heat gun, each dent can be warmed on a medium/low setting, then quickly treated with a very cold element, such as dry ice. The idea is that the heat will make the metal surface more pliable and the rapid cooling from the ice will cause the metal to contract, pushing the dent out of the car.

Does heat remove dents?

You will need a hot glue gun, several wooden dowels, and a few screws. For this method, place a screw into one end of the dowel and put hot glue on the screw head. Place the glue end in and around the dent and let them dry. Pull on each one until the dent is gone.
