Replication in experimental design

En statistique, la réplication est la répétition des conditions d'une expérience, de sorte que la variabilité associée au phénomène puisse être estimée. La réplication n'est pas la même chose que les données répétées, elles sont traités... Wikipédia

What is replication in experimental design?

Replication is the non consecutive running of the experimental design multiple times. The purpose is to provide additional information and degrees of freedom to better understand and estimate the variation in the experiment. It is not the same as repetition.

What is replication in design?

Replicated Designs are designs in which all or almost all of the main factor design is repeated a few or several times. Design Replicates allow an estimate of variance for each run of the main factor design, thereby allowing for an analysis of variation over the full range of the experiment.

What is an example of replication in an experiment?

A replication study is a study that is an independent repetition of an earlier, published study, using sufficiently similar methods (along the appropriate dimensions) and conducted under sufficiently similar circumstances.
