WOFF 2.0 - Web Open Font Format on Chrome is fully supported on 36-106, partially supported on None of the versions, and not supported on 4-35 Chrome versions. WOFF 2.0 - Web Open Font Format on Safari is fully supported on 12.1-16, partially supported on 10-11, and not supported on 3.2-9 Safari versions.

What is WOFF2 used for?

WOFF (and its successor WOFF2) are compressed file formats created specifically for web fonts. Although regular OpenType fonts (TTF and OTF files) can be used as web fonts, such usage is not recommended as it usually contravenes license agreements—and the files are significantly larger.
