Is CAO applications open for 2023?
CAO applications for the academic year 2022-2023 open from 5 November 2021. You can apply to participating higher education institutions though the CAO portal. You can also find information on your options for further education and apprenticeships.
Can I reapply to CAO next year?
REAPPLYING TO CAO If you applied to CAO in a prior year and you wish to re-apply for 2022, you must make a new application. In general, you do not need your old CAO application number as you will be provided with a new CAO number when you apply.
Is it too late to apply for CAO?
The closing date for 2021 CAO applications was 1 February 2021. However, late applications are allowed up to 5.15pm on 1 May 2021. There is a fee to apply for courses through the CAO and late applications pay an increased fee. Late online applications cost €60.
What to do if you get no CAO offers?
If your child does not receive an offer in subsequent rounds, or if they are unhappy with the offer that they receive, they may apply through the Available Places facility on the CAO website. This facility opens in the days after Round One offers are made available online.
