You can check your CAO application status online via the CAO student Portal. First, access the CAO Portal at the following link: https://cao.ac.za/MyApplicationLogin.aspx? You will now be presented with your CAO application status.

You are encouraged to apply online at www.cao.ac.za as your application is immediately available to the institution/s to which you have applied on receipt of your application and administration fee. You can apply and pay the administration fee online.

Where do I check my CAO offers?
You can also check the website of the relevant HEI to see if they have a deferral policy available online that you can refer to. The email must arrive in the Admissions Office of the institution at least two days before the 'Reply Date' shown on the Offer Notice. The HEI will communicate their decision to you directly.
