For all travellers entering Canada by air, land or marine mode on or after October 1, 2022:
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
- COVID-19 pre-entry and arrival tests are not required.
- Quarantine after you enter Canada is not required.
- Using ArriveCAN is not required.
Does Canada require a PCR test for entry?
Effective 4/1/22, fully vaccinated travelers to Canada from USA will not require a pre-entry covid test.
Do you need a Covid test to get into Canada right now?
The Public Health Agency of Canada no longer collects COVID-19 test samples from travellers entering Canada. As a result, this table will no longer be updated. Travellers who qualify as fully vaccinated may be randomly selected for an arrival test, under a program called mandatory random testing (MRT).
Can you enter Canada if you are not fully vaccinated?
Regardless of whether the foreign national is departing the United States or any other country, all asymptomatic persons entering Canada must quarantine themselves, unless they have been fully vaccinated (or are exempt from quarantine requirements) and their arrival test is negative.
