Contractors' all risk insurance, also referred to as Contract Works Insurance or Construction Insurance, is a non-standard insurance policy that provides coverage for accidental physical loss or damage that occurs to a property insured during the construction period.

Contract works insurance, sometimes referred to as “Construction All Risks Insurance“, covers accidental risks of physical loss or physical damage to the contract works during construction as well as third party liabilities and the advance loss of profits. It is an all-risk policy, subject to policy conditions.

DE5. Provides cover for both defective and non-defective property provided that there is damage to non-defective insured property as a result of the defect. There is no cover for costs of improvements to the original design, plan, specification, workmanship or materials.
