The Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) provided financial support to post-secondary students, and recent post-secondary and high school graduates who were unable to find work due to COVID-19.

Is there any benefits for students in Canada?

Based on your previous year's annual income and family size, you may be eligible to receive up to $375 $750* per month of study ($3,000 to $6,000* for a standard 8-month academic year), with gradually lower amounts awarded based on higher incomes as indicated on the Government of Canada website.

Are students eligible for CERB Canada?

You are a student who was working part-time throughout the school year, but your job was lost because of COVID-19. You may have been eligible for the CERB. You must have stopped working for reasons related to COVID-19 and met the other requirements for the benefit. You were a student who worked in the summer.

Is CRB still available?

Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) You can no longer apply for this benefit.

Can OSAP students apply for CERB?

Yes, CERB, CESB, CRB, CRSB and WEPP income received during your OSAP study period would need to be reported as "other income." You should not report these in the government income section of your application but rather include them along with all other income in your response to the "other income" question.
