What is the driver knowledge test?

NSW Government Service NSW. The Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) is the first stage in the licensing process. You must pass the DKT to get your learner driver licence. To practise for the DKT, you can download a PDF document that includes questions you could be asked during the DKT, or you can view a demonstration test online.

How do I prepare for the car licence (C class) test?

Prepare for the test by reading the Road User Handbook. It is important that you read through the handbook before practising or sitting the test. Do I need a mask for a driver knowledge test?

If you're sitting a Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) or the Hazard Perception Test (HPT) at a Service NSW service centre, you are required to wear a mask. Note: While stay-at-home orders apply, residents subject to those orders who have a booking for a DKT or HPT will be contacted to reschedule their booking, regardless of where the test is booked.
