We expect you to follow guidelines for medical record information and documentation including the following: Date all entries and identify the author and their credentials. It should be apparent from the documentation which individual performed a given service.
What are the CARF standards?
CARF standards follow a framework called ASPIRE to Excellence®, which addresses the process patient care follows. In behavioral health, standards address the following topics, among others. Various programs within behavioral health will have different standards. All aim to uphold the core values and commitments of CARF.
Who does CARF contact during the accreditation tenure?
10. CARF maintains contact with the service provider during the accreditation tenure. Providers are also encouraged to contact CARF as needed to help maintain conformance to the standards.
