Symptoms presenting in a mild overdose are similar to the side effects of Amoxicillin. The patient may only present with diarrhea, nausea and vomiting but there will no lasting damage to the body. A severe Amoxicillin overdose, on the other hand, may cause damage to the kidneys.
You need to not, under any conditions, take two doses simultaneously. A single dose of Amoxicillin can be administered for conditions such as gonorrhea. These will generally be in 3 g dozes for a full grown grownup. For adults, the minimum efficient dosage is 500 mg every 8 hours.
️ Amoxicillin is usually taken three times a day. Space your doses evenly over the day (during the hours you are awake). For example, adults who've been prescribed a dose three times a day could take one dose at 7am, one at 3pm and one at 11pm.
