Earlier Detection. Smarter Treatments. Better Outcomes. The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), part of City of Hope. We are an Arizona-based, nonprofit medical research institute dedicated to conducting groundbreaking research with life-changing results.
The Thy1-GFP transgene was designed with a modified regulatory region of the "murine thy1.2 gene" (extending from the promoter to the intron following exon 4, excluding exon 3 and its flanking introns) upstream of an enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) sequence. Line M was subsequently established and analyzed.
Gifts to the TGen Foundation fund the most advanced, cutting-edge research focused on developing earlier diagnoses and smarter treatments for a variety of diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders.
TGen faculty share the excitement of how they are helping shape the future of TGen’s work in precision medicine. Atlanta restauranteur and business woman, Maria Fundora, received TGen’s Collaborative Spirit Award at the 2023 TGen Founders Dinner. TGen researchers are advancing the scientific understanding of the aging process. Watch to learn more.
