The Tyco® Model ESFR-25 Pendent Sprinklers are “Early Suppression, Fast Response Sprinklers” having a nominal K-factor of 25.2. (Refer to Fig- ure 1.) They are suppression-mode sprinklers that are especially advanta- geous as a means of eliminating the use of in-rack sprinklers when pro- tecting high-piled storage.
The Series TY-FRB Upright and Pendent Sprinklers must be installed in accordance with the following instructions. Step 1. Install Pendent sprinklers in the pendent position. Install upright sprin-klers in the upright position. Step 2. With pipe-thread sealant applied to the pipe threads, hand-tighten the sprinkler into the sprinkler fitting.
