Figure 3.1. Detailed EFR32BG12 Block Diagram 3.2 Radio The Blue Gecko family features a radio transceiver supporting Bluetooth®Low Energy and proprietary short range wireless protocols. 3.2.1 Antenna Interface The 2.4 GHz antenna interface consists of two pins (2G4RF_IOP and 2G4RF_ION) that interface directly to the on-chip BALUN.
The EFR32BG24 Wireless SoC features a highly configurable radio transceiver supporting Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Mesh, and Proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless protocols. The 2.4 GHz antenna interface consists of a single-ended pin (RF2G4_IO).
The EFR32BG24 device family includes support for internal supply voltage scaling, as well as two different power domains groups for peripherals. These enhancements allow for further supply current reductions and lower overall power consumption. The Energy Management Unit manages transitions of energy modes in the device.
The EFR32BG12 SLWRB4103A wireless radio board plugs into the mainboard provided with the EFR32BG SoC Starter Kit. EFR32BG12 (BG12) Series 1 Bluetooth Low Energy Chips (SoCs) enable you to quickly deliver Bluetooth LE or Bluetooth mesh connectivity in your IoT design.
