Abecedarian: a form guided by alphabetical order in which each line or stanza begins with a successive letter of the alphabet.
Acrostic: a form in which names or words are spelled out through the first letter of each line.
Aisling: an Irish dream poem in which Ireland appears to the poet personified as a woman.
A writer uses listing to add emphasis to a point, show they are knowledgeable or to offer a variety of ideas in the hope that the reader will be familiar with one or several of them.
zeugma: A figure of speech where a single verb (or phrase) is used for more than one clause in the sentence yet is only suited to one of those clauses.
