Is SEVIS number and exchange visitor number the same?
Your SEVIS ID# is the number that begins with “N00” and is located in the upper right hand corner of the DS-2019 form.
The Exchange Visitor Program Number is found on your DS-2019 in section 2.

J-1 exchange visitors must show a bank account with at least $5,000 US for a spouse and $3,500 US for each child who will come to the United States.
