November 2015 OIML R60, Part 1 15 applications are commonly designed to provide an output relative to an input stimulus based on electrical current. Both analog and digital outputs are recognized in load cells within that category.
The format of the certificate shall be as specified in Annex B, OIML Certificate of conformity for load cells. In addition, Annex C provides an example of supplemental information that may be included in the OIML Certificate and is included in this Recommendation to compliment the format provided in Annex
to “While digital load cellsmay be covered under this Recommendation, a load cell that produces an output consisting of more than digital “raw counts” will only be covered under R60 when the further data processing only consists of scaling.” Wording has been amended. See also comments from France, CECIP, Netherlands, and Germany.
Refer to comments and response for R60 Part 1, paragraph 5.7.1.1. The significant change being proposedwould cause substantial changes in tests and interpretation of results. This type of change is more appropriate for consideration during early stages of a revision and should not be implemented without the support of a majority of PG members.
