  • What is a BLS skills check off?

    The BLS Skills Session is a comprehensive assessment of basic life support (BLS) skills. It is designed to evaluate an individual's knowledge and proficiency in performing essential BLS skills such as chest compressions, rescue breathing, and automated external defibrillation (AED).

  • What is the passing score for the AHA exam?

    To pass the AHA BLS course, a score of 84% or higher is required. Students must pass a skills test and a written exam. Prior to the test, students will receive a course handbook. Through AHA, students who successfully complete the course(s) become certified for two years.

  • What is a live skills check?

    The Basic Life Support (BLS) skills session is an optional live examination that evaluates the student's proficiency in performing the mechanical skills learned during BLS certification.
  • You can take a full classroom course, take a blended learning course (HeartCode BLS + a hands-on skills session training), or purchase additional course materials.
