  • Can I check in 2 bags with Air Canada?

    A first bag fee of $75.00 applies to Economy Basic fares and Aeroplan Standard Rewards. The fee for a second bag is $100.00.

  • How much luggage is allowed in Air Canada flight?

    Air Canada (AC) will charge the following for bags that are greater than the standard 50 pounds or 23 kilograms: 51 to 70 pounds or 24 to 32 kilograms: at least $100.00 CA/US extra per bag. Bags exceeding 70 pounds or 32 kilograms will not be accepted as checked baggage / hold luggage.

  • What happens if your luggage is over 23kg?

    Overweight baggage
    The maximum weight in Premium and Economy is 23kg per bag. If yours are heavier than that, you'll need to pay an overweight baggage fee at the airport. In Upper Class the maximum weight is 32kg per bag.
  • There is normally a maximum weight limit of 50 pounds per checked bag as well as a size restriction. The most common maximum size bag allowed is 62 linear (total) inches. A common size bag for checking through is: 27" x 21" x 14".
