  • How do I search all results in Ableton?

    Just press ? + F (ctrl + F) to activate the search feature and type in what you're looking for. Ableton will search in all places for the file name you typed.

  • Where are my Ableton samples stored?

    The User Library is where you can save your own default presets, Grooves, Racks, samples, etc. Items you have saved to your User Library will also be available in the Categories section of the browser. The default location of the User Library is: Windows: \\Users\\[username]\\Documents\\Ableton\\User Library.

  • What is the shortcut for fixed grid in Ableton?

    ?+4 (Ctrl+4) will toggle on and off the snap to grid mode. ?+5 (Ctrl+5) will fix the grid to 1/32 note spacing. This shortcut can come in handy when you want to move a clip or note to a finer (or broader) gridline without having to zoom in or out.
  • In Live, go to the menu bar and choose View -> File Manager. This will open a panel on the far right of the program display. This is where the magic happens. Here you can choose to manage the Set, the Project, or the User Library.
