  • What are the rules for Australia Post packaging?

    All cartons or Goods delivered to Australia Post must not exceed 105 centimetres in length and the length plus the greatest girth must not exceed 2 metres. The weight of individual cartons must not exceed 16 kilograms.

  • What is not allowed to Post to Australia?

    Item of meat origin or containing meat (all types, e.g., beef jerky, etc.) Items containing egg or dairy. Items of plant origin (e.g., decorations made from vine material, wreaths, flowers, potpourri, etc.) Unpopped popcorn.

  • How long can Australia Post hold my parcel?

    Collecting a missed delivery
    You'll get a notification about your missed delivery, so you can pick your item up in-person. We'll hold it at the Post Office for 10 business days, before it gets returned to sender.
  • The maximum allowed weight of a parcel lodged at a Post Office is 22kg. In some instances a Post Office may not have capacity to weigh parcels up to 22kg.
