  • Is a silent voice child friendly?

Because the movie deals with mature and disturbing themes like bullying, suicide and atonement, it isn't recommended for children under 14 years. If you have older teenagers who see the movie, you might like to talk about these themes with them.
  • Is a silent voice appropriate for a 13 year old?

One thing to say right away- This movie is not for kids. Not because it's too violent or psychologically impressionate, but rather because it is a bit hard to understand. Some of the other reviews have said it was "boring and slow," but I assure you every second of this movie is packed with some kind of hidden meaning.
  • Is a silent voice a good movie?

A Silent Voice is an emotional and beautiful movie that almost anyone can relate to in some shape or form. The story is both heart wrenching and heartwarming, as it tackles many issues such as bullying, social anxiety, depression, and suicide. Many of the characters deal with some or all of these issues.
  • Death Note, given the strong questions it raises about the responsibility for life and death both, could make for a great discussion tool. The series is rated for older teens, and I agree that it's best suited for older high schoolers.
