  • Will there be an A380 freighter?

    We will likely never see a cargo A380 in our lifetime as there are simply too many alternative aircraft that could be converted instead. With so many Boeing 747s coming onto the market, in addition to Boeing 777s, A330s and more, the A380 is the last on a very long list.

  • Why is there no A380 freighter?

    Despite its enormous size, the A380 was never prized for cargo transport because so much space is devoted to passengers and baggage. Fully loaded, it holds 20% to 60% less cargo than other widebody jets. Depending on passenger loads, cargo often is offloaded at the last minute, making the plane unreliable for shippers.5 avr. 2021

  • How many A380 were ordered?

    There are 251 firm orders by 14 customers for the passenger version of the Airbus A380-800, all of which have been delivered as of December 2021.
  • Most US airports cannot accommodate it without extensive/expensive renovations to their terminals. Also, most US carriers just do not fly so many long-haul routes that they felt they needed planes as big as the A380. They were already flying widebody aircraft that held hundreds of passengers; the demand was not there.
