  • What is the accessible signage standard?

    Signs should be clear, concise and consistent. Our accessible signage consists of raised large print and braille with a good visual contrast so they can be read by both sight and touch. They can also have raised pictograms and symbols that are suitable for access by touch.

    ADA signs must have a high contrast ratio (strongly contrasting colors between the content and the background) as well as a non-glare finish. Text characters in ADA signage must be in a clearly distinguishable sans serif or serif font, which is not in italics, and is not condensed or extra bold.3 sept. 2020
