Is biomedical engineering harder than biology

  • Should I do biomedical engineering or biology?

While the fields could overlap in many ways, a biology degree provides a foundation for future specialization.
Biological engineering degree jobs lead down a more specific career path.
Aspiring engineers may be more drawn to problem-solving and innovation, while aspiring biologists may value research and discovery..

  • BME students may take courses in molecular biology, physiology, anatomy, or pharmacology.
Most biomedical engineering programs have courses which combine these basic core areas so that the integration of these diverse knowledge bases provides a very interesting and challenging curriculum for the students.

Biology is, in my opinion, memorizing systems. Biomedical science involves critical thinking skills that you apply what you've memorized vs it's application in real world problems. So biomedical science is technically more difficult. How does the biomedical science industry pay at different universities?

What skills are needed to be a biomedical engineer?

Skills Required.
To be successful as a biomedical engineer, you must both be analytical and detail-oriented, and strong in biology and chemistry.
Strong math, science, and technology skills are also critical to a successful career in biomedical engineering.
