This device is a California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) approved biometric device for smog testing; it is compatible with the BAR-OIS web-application system once they release the BAR-OIS biometric software update in November; it is guaranteed to work and comply with the California smog test biometric verification program.
This device is going to be required by BAR in 2023 for all Smog Check Inspection Stations in California.
