The Botany of Lord Auckland's Group and Campbell'

The Botany of Lord Auckland's Group and Campbell's Island is a description of the plants discovered in those islands during the Ross expedition written by Joseph Dalton Hooker and published by Reeve Brothers in London between 1844 and 1845.
Hooker sailed on HMS Erebus as assistant surgeon.
It was the first in a series of four Floras in the Flora Antarctica, the others being the Botany of Fuegia, the Falklands, Kerguelen's Land, Etc. (1845–1847), the Flora Novae-Zelandiae (1851–1853), and the Flora Tasmaniae (1853–1859).
They were splendidly

Region of Auckland, New Zealand

East Auckland is one of the major geographical regions of Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand.
Settled in the 14th century, the area is part of the traditional lands of Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki.
The area was developed into farmland in the 1840s, and the town of Howick was established as a defensive outpost by fencibles to protect Auckland.
Coastal holiday communities developed in the area from the 1910s, and from the 1950s underwent major redevelopment into a suburban area of greater Auckland.
From the 1980s, the area saw significant Asian New Zealander migrant communities develop.
This is a list of suburbs in the Auckland metropolitan area, New Zealand, surrounding the Auckland Central Business District.
They are broadly grouped into the local government areas that existed from 1989 to 2010.
