  • What is the benefits of cognitive science?

As a result, the study of cognitive science is essential to guiding fields like education, engineering, human resources management, medical reasoning, the analysis of diseases and mental illnesses, and operations research..

  • A graduate degree in cognitive science can help candidates develop strong skills that can benefit them throughout their lives.
Individuals will likely develop strong research and analytical skills as well as problem-solving abilities.
A greater understanding of human behavior may also enhance leadership skills.
  • Cognitive Science vs Psychology
Psychology is an umbrella term for understanding the human mind and its thinking patterns without getting into the brain's deep functionality.
Cognitive science, on the other hand, studies the phenomenon of cognition and associated deep neural processes.
  • What Is Cognitive Science? Cognitive science is the study of the human mind and brain, focusing on how the mind represents and manipulates knowledge and how mental representations and processes are realized in the brain.

What are the research facilities in KAIST?

These programs are housed in many cutting-edge research facilities.
KAIST Institute (KI) is the main research institution in Kaist and consist of KI for BioCentury, KI for IT Convergence, KI for Robotics, KI for Nanocentury, KI for Health Science and Technology, Saudi Aramco-KAIST CO2 Management Center and I-Space.

What does KAIST do?

Humanity will require deep insight and reflection on these fundamental and essential questions.
To provide insightful answers to these questions and implement realistic solutions, KAIST established the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences in April 2022.

What is it like to major in Computer Science at KAIST?

I majored in Computer Science at KAIST where I attended from 2013 to 2017.
The experience was absolutely amazing.
Most of the professors graduated from good universities in the US so they are very good and can speak English well.
In addition, KAIST students are generally very motivated, hardworking, and smart.

What is KAIST's Brain & Cognitive Sciences Department?

As the founding chair, I am so thrilled to announce that KAIST has established the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences on April 2022.
Our department is aimed to study the brain to understand the mind and to provide with engineering and clinical applications to contribute to a better world.
