M-Bus Communication
M-Bus is a communication protocol used between meters and the central data collection system or Pre-Payment unit. Widely used on new projects where the building infrastructure can be designed accordingly. M-Bus is available on a wide variety of gas, heat, electricity, and cold / hot water meters.
MBus provides Fast and Accurate Remote Data
The ability of MBus technology to read data faster from virtually anywhere eliminates manual reading errors made by field personnel.
Normally, an M-Bus system consists of only a single segment, which is connected via a local repeater or converter to a Computer (PC) or a Data Collection Unit (DCU) acting as master. Such local repeaters convert the M-Bus signals into signals for the communication interface or port on the Data Collection unit.
The M-Bus (“Meter-Bus”) is a new European standard for remote reading of heatmeters and it is also usable for all other types of consumption meters as well
The M-Bus interface is made for communication on two wires, making it cost-effective. A radio variant of M-Bus (Wireless M-Bus) (circle-link) is also
