Community corrections programs in tennessee

The Community Corrections Day Reporting Centers were created to divert felony offenders from the Tennessee Prison system and to provide necessary supervision and service to the offenders with the goal of reducing the probability of continued criminal behavior while maintaining the safety of the community.

Tennessee uses three types of community supervision — parole, probation, and Community Corrections

Each program varies in purpose, detail, and outcomes, but all are meant to provide an alternative to incarceration
