These prisoners do not get law degrees, but inmate advisors do receive training to defend their peers in prison cases / write-ups where they are tried for violating prison policy before a group of staff (usually called Tribunals because they meet with 3 prison staff members), argue cases in court, and help people appeal their cases as far as the Supreme Court.

    Inmates who have served their sentence and who are no longer on parole can’t be found in the database.
