Community health alliance

The Alliance for Justice (AFJ) is a progressive judicial advocacy group in the United States.
Founded in 1979 by former president Nan Aron, AFJ monitors federal judicial appointments.
AFJ represents a coalition of 100 politically leftist groups that have an interest in the federal judiciary.
The Alliance for Justice presents a modern liberal viewpoint on legal issues.

The Community Mental Health Act of 1963 (CMHA) was an act to provide federal funding for community mental health centers and research facilities in the United States.
This legislation was passed as part of John F.
Kennedy's New Frontier.
It led to considerable deinstitutionalization.

Its members are non-profit organisations active in public health.
The EPHA has 89 member organisations based in 21 European countries.

A gay–straight alliance, gender-sexuality alliance (GSA) or queer–straight alliance (QSA) is a student-led or community-based organization, found in middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities.
These are primarily in the United States and Canada.
Gay–straight alliance is intended to provide a safe and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and all LGBTQ+ individuals, children, teenagers, and youth as well as their cisgender heterosexual allies.
In middle schools and high schools, GSAs are overseen by a responsible teacher.
The first GSAs were established in the 1980s.
Scientific studies show that GSAs have positive academic, health, and social impacts on schoolchildren of a minority sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
Numerous judicial decisions in United States federal and state court jurisdictions have upheld the establishment of GSAs in schools, and the right to use that name for them.

It incorporates financial and service assistance models to alleviate health care costs for its members and is a model for cooperative health care reform in the United States.
The mission of IHA is to facilitate access to health care for all, with a focus on the needs of the un- and underinsured.
IHA sponsors and operates the Ithaca Free Clinic.

The National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA) is Australia's peak non-government organisation for rural and remote health.

The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) with staff in more than 20 countries and operations in more than 70 countries.
It was founded in 1987 by Daniel Katz, an American environmental activist, who serves as the chair of the board of directors.
The NGO states that its mission is “to create a more sustainable world by using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities.” Its work includes the provision of an environmental certification for sustainability in agriculture.
In parallel to its certification program, the Rainforest Alliance develops and implements long-term conservation and community development programs in a number of critically important tropical landscapes where commodity production threatens ecosystem health and the well-being of rural communities.

The School-Based Health Alliance is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports school-based health centers in the United States.
