Community health worker training program

All candidates that apply will be required to:
1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Have a high school diploma or equivalent
3. Demonstrate academic and career readiness
4. Demonstrate passion for community health work
5. Intend to work as a CHW in Missouri
New Community Health Workers
The training for new CHWs consists of a 10-week CHW Core Competency Course provided by Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and (3) additional courses supplemented by BHT.

Our 14-week program consists of a hybrid learning model that includes 104 hours of online classroom learning and 130 hours of in-person, on-site practicum
