    A limit point may or may not belong to the set.
    As for example, all points on the circle z = r are the limit points of the set z \x26lt; r, which do not belong to the set.
  • Yes, a limit can be equal to an imaginary number.
    For example, the constant sequence {aj}∞j=1 where aj=i converges to i.
    If you are working with complex number, a sequence can converge to a complex number.
