  • What is the use of computational statistics?

    Computational statistics is a branch of statistics that uses computational methods to help analyze and understand data.
    Often we have very ugly expressions involving random variables , which can not be directly analysed using CLT , DCT etc.
    So we often resort to simulation , bootstrap etc. to analyse the distribution ..

  • It really depends on degree level.
    A bachelor's in Stats really isn't going to do a ton for you, whereas a bachelor's in Computer Science will have you ready for hire in a very good job.
    That said, graduate degrees (especially PhDs) in statistics are some of the highest demand degrees out there right now.
