Is tomography and CT scan the same?

A CT scan stands for a Computed Tomography scan.
It is an imaging method in radiology.
It uses X-rays and a computer to produce images of your internal organs such as bones, tissues, etc.
A CT scan offers more clarity and detailed images than a regular X-ray.
