The degree programme aims to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the diversity of life on earth, the processes that determine the biodiversity of ecosystems and the dynamics of populations.

Stage 2
60 credits of compulsory modules, 60 credits of optional modules. aIt is compulsory to take a field course in the second year.
You must select at least one field course module from BIO2442 and BIO2444.
BIO2442 is the default free module and may be substituted with BIO2444.
If you are unable to go on a field course, you will be required to take BIO2.

Stage 3
75 credits of compulsory modules, 45 credits of optional modules. dIt is compulsory to take a field course in the final year.
BIO3429 is the default free module and may be substituted with either BIO3430, BIO3418, BIO3419, BIO3423.
