Construction who's who

The long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who has since its beginnings in 1963 generated many hundreds of products related to the show, from toys and games to picture cards and postage stamps.
This article is not an exhaustive list of merchandise but attempts to present a flavour of the type of material that has been produced.
This entry mainly concentrates on official spin-offs, that is to say, material sanctioned by the British Broadcasting Corporation, which produces the series.

Guess Who's Back is a song by American rapper Scarface featuring American rappers Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel.
It is the lead single from Scarface's seventh studio album The Fix (2002).
The song was produced by Kanye West, who also provides uncredited vocals, and contains a sample of Sunrise by The Originals.

The Chase is the eighth serial of the second season in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who.
Written by Terry Nation and directed by Richard Martin, the serial was broadcast on BBC in six weekly parts from 22 May to 26 June 1965.
Set in multiple time periods on several different planets, including Aridius, Earth, and Mechanus, the serial features the Dalek race travelling through time while pursuing the time machine the TARDIS and its occupants—the First Doctor and his companions Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright, and Vicki —to kill them and seize the TARDIS for themselves.
The Doctor and companions encounter several characters, including monsters Dracula and Frankenstein's monster, human astronaut Steven Taylor, and an android replica of the Doctor.

The Man Who Laughs is a novel by Victor Hugo, originally published in April 1869 under the French title L'Homme qui rit.
It takes place in England beginning in 1690 and extends into the early 18th century reign of Queen Anne.
It depicts England's royalty and aristocracy of the time as cruel and power-hungry.
Hugo intended parallels with the France of Louis-Philippe and the Régence.

The Romans is the fourth serial of the second season in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who.
Written by Dennis Spooner and directed by Christopher Barry, the serial was broadcast on BBC1 in four weekly parts from 16 January to 6 February 1965.
In the serial, the First Doctor and his new companion Vicki investigate intrigue surrounding the death of a lyre player en route to perform at the palace of Nero in Rome, while companion Ian Chesterton travels to Nero's palace to save his fellow schoolteacher Barbara Wright, who had been sold to Nero's wife Poppaea as a slave.

Who's The Murderer is a Chinese variety program produced by Mango TV.
The show features the main cast of He Jiong, Sa Beining, as well as resident guests Wang Ou, Gui Gui and Bai Jingting.

Who Goes There? is a 1938 science fiction horror novella by American author John W.
Campbell, written under the pen name Don A.
Stuart.
Its story follows a group of people trapped in a scientific outpost in Antarctica infested by shapeshifting monsters able to absorb and perfectly imitate any living being, including humans. Who Goes There? was first published in the August 1938 issue of Astounding Science Fiction magazine and was also printed as The Thing from Another World, as well as included in the collection by the same title.
Its extended, novel version, found in an early manuscript titled Frozen Hell, was finally published in 2019.

Who shot J.R.? is an advertising catchphrase that American network CBS created in 1980 to promote the television series Dallas.
It referred to the fictional mystery surrounding a murder attempt against arch-villain J.R.
Ewing in the show's third-season finale A House Divided.
The mystery and its catchphrase became a global phenomenon, with international odds-makers setting odds for the culprit.
The mystery was not resolved until the fourth episode of the fourth season titled Who Done It which aired eight months later, with an estimated 83 million American viewers tuning in, one of the most watched television broadcasts of all time.
The catchphrase has a strong legacy in pop culture and the format helped popularize the cliffhanger ending for television series.

Burns? is a two-part episode of the American animated television series The Simpsons. Part One is the twenty-fifth and final episode of the sixth season and originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on May 21, 1995, while Part Two is the season premiere of the seventh season and aired on September 17, 1995.
