How old is Chinese culture?

It’s hard to say how old Chinese culture actually is, but it’s one of the oldest that still has a presence in the modern world.
Legends claim that the earliest rulers in China were the Xia Dynasty, from 2100 to 1600 B.C., with Yu as the first emperor, but there is little proof that the dynasty actually existed.

When did China enter a classical era?

Shortly thereafter, China entered its classical age with the Han dynasty (206 BCE – CE 220), marking a critical period, a term for the Chinese language is still "Han language", and the dominant Chinese ethnic group is known as Han Chinese.
The Chinese empire reached some of its farthest geographical extents during this period.
