What does the word cosmic means and what is cosmology?

The word cosmology is derived from the Greek kosmos meaning harmony or order.
Cosmologists are interested in the formation, evolution and future of the universe and its constituents.
Most objects we can see with telescopes are large or exist at extreme distances (e.g. planets, stars, galaxies, clusters of galaxies and even superclusters).
