The goal of Cosmology@Home is to compare theoretical models of the universe to the data measured to date and search for the model that best matches it. Other goals may include: results from Cosmology@Home can help design future cosmological observations and experiments.

What is physical cosmology?

Physical cosmology is the scholarly and scientific study of the origin, evolution, large-scale structures and dynamics, and ultimate fate of the universe, as well as the scientific laws that govern these realitiesTheodicy--in its most common form is the attempt to answer the question of why a good God permits the manifestation of evil.
